What Others Are Saying!
We've had Birdie Fae aka Jesse Tate for one month now. She's 3 months old and 19 lbs. just had her last set of shots today. She knows sit, stay, shake, kennel and is learning others. She's already potty trained. She walks on a leash and rides in a car well. She hasn't met a stranger yet! Loves all people and other dogs! She loves mealtime (ours, not hers) and playing outside. Shes terrified of moving vehicles, which is a good thing! She's such a smart, sweet girl and we love her!❤️
OH and just an addition to my previous post! She rings the potty bell on the door when she needs to go outside. I'm very proud of that one!
Thanks Haley Blakey for sharing.

Hi, Duncan!
In December 2004, when we picked up Cooper, one of your Springer pups, we had no idea that he would turn out to be such a good hunter. I like to hunt pheasants, but do not know much about training hunting dogs. I took Cooper hunting at a local preserve for the first time at 5 months, with some friends and their dogs. Cooper quickly figured out what we were after. He flushed some quail and one pheasant and retrieved several birds. Last September, we adopted a Rescue Springer, Winston. He is a close match to Cooper. Most people think they are from the same litter. Cooper and Winston hunted together 11 times last season. We took 27 pheasants, 6 quail and about 30 doves. They found and flushed the birds and retrieved well. Now, in 2006, we have hunted 3 times and have bagged 11 pheasants at the Ramsey Lake preserve, north of Vandalia, IL.
Cooper has an excellent disposition and is friendly to everyone and with other dogs. I could not ask for a better hunting companion. Both Cooper and Winston seem large for Field Bred Springers. Cooper weighs 75 pounds and Winston is 65 pounds. We feed them Science Diet Lean Adult food & they don't seem fat, just big!
I am attaching some shots of Cooper and Winston. Cooper is sitting by me on the bench in one shot & is the bigger dog.
Thanks again for a great Springer!
Best regards,

Riley is an energetic Springer who is by far the best dog that we have ever owned. He quickly proved that he is much smarter than this human companions and he has a great deal of enthusiasm for life. My husband and I brought him home in April 2004 and, immediately, he proved to be very versatile. Riley is most at home running through the woods and wallowing in mud puddles, but he also loves riding in the car and chasing the family cat around the house. My husband and I are not hunters, but we have had many friends ask to take Riley hunting because of his natural, persistent drive to flush and retrieve.
We found Pheasant Phind Kennels simply by chance and we will most definitely purchase another dog from Duncan. Thanks for such a well bred Springer and a loyal family pet!

This is where we found our babies, Darcy and Lizzy. Duncan runs an up front kennel. The dogs are well cared for and he knows his Springers.
Our dogs are not hunters but Darcy will chase a tennis ball all day, he understands to stay by me until freed, and then he will track down the ball...even if he didn't see where it went. He loves the water and I'm sure would have been a great field dog. He's a natural.
I hope we never have to replace either of our babies but if we do we hope Duncan and Pheasant Phind Kennels is still around,

★★★★★ fantastic breeder. I interviewed no less than 7 pp who found their springers here, and we are very happy w/ our b&w springer Beazus!
Murphy is a great dog. Full of energy, family dog, my dog, swims, hunts, a pet, protective, dominant, loving, durable, strong, fast, ready for anything, sleeps with me, trainable, smart and beautiful. Need I say more. If you get a Springer from Duncan you must be ready for some fun because they are spirited and well bred. Murph is my best bud.
